Woodworkers Auction is very proud to introduce our Designer In Residence - DANA! We'll let DANA introduce himself in his own words.

"It's very exciting to have been chosen as your design expert! Please allow me a moment of your time to introduce myself. My name is DANA, I am an artist and faux finisher as well as a designer. (So, you can look forward to many faux finish tips and techniques as well as design info.) I am 46 years old, now residing in Las Vegas, NV though originally from Maine.
I've always been a designer of sorts, but I received my degree as an adult, from the Las Vegas Interior Design Institute, where I graduated Valedictorian of my class. I remained 1 year at the Institute as an instructor. I am registered with the State of Nevada to teach Post Secondary Education in Drafting and Art.
Before design school, I worked 8 years as a draftsman and 3 years as a ceramic instructor in my own studio. Having been an artist all my life, I have exhibited in several galleries and design centers.
Last year, I was fortunate enough to be sponsored by Hilton International to have my own major exhibit in Malaysia. Most of my exhibit looked very architectural and included sculpture as well as artwork.
I'm proud to have been requested to participate in the Las Vegas Street of Dreams Project. One of my Trompe L'Eol paintings in The French Provincial Home appeared in the Traditional Home magazine.
In the past, I have won an award for my expert stenciling done with spray paint. At the moment, I am very busy with my interior design business. The bulk of my work is in the "Olde World" venue.
When time allows, I enjoy residencial as well as commercial commissions here in Vegas and our surrounding states to do artwork, including murals, faux finishing and sculpture. As long as I'm creating, I'm happy. Creating actually gives me energy.
I look forward to working with each and every one of you on your individual projects.
