This appears to be a #10 Royal Typewriter with a single see thru window. The version with double see thru side panel windows was introduced in 1914 and the single window version a short time after. The object of the windows was to allow viewing of the inner mechanism. Condition: Good Logos: Good with some wear. Nickel Plating: Needs conditioning. Condition of platen: Very Good. Minimal wear Condition of Keys: All working with one needing adjustment. Missing: Beveled glass side panel, right turning knob, disconnected carriage string, ribbon not available. Mechanism: Platen turns freely, carriage moves freely, keys all strike, carriage bell in working order, tab setters are present, paper guide attached. Would benefit from cleaning and conditioning. |
