This dwarf Juniper from Japan is the most popular evergreen in the U.S.A. When we think of a traditional bonsai and what it should look like, we think of a "Juniper Procumbens Nana". Native to the Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia, the Ming Aralia is an indoor, ornamental versatile and decorative plant which is the epitome of house plant excellence in bonsai form. Native to tropical Africa and naturalized around the world. The Tamarind is an attractive tree valued for its shade and edible fruit. Adapts well to both arid and moderately wet regions. Resilient to wind and salt spray. The Tamarind is long-lived and towers to 110 feet in the wild. Prized as bonsai due to the very attractive rough bark that it develops. The skin of the fruit pod becomes crunch when when ripe. The tasty brown pulp is sticky and sucked on like candy or can be made into a refreshing drink.
