Dave, just couldn't wait, he just had to see if he could follow in his Great Grandfather's footsteps. On an earlier page you see the amazing inlaid table he crafted. It looks as if the talent is inherited. Dave (co-founder of Woodworkers Auction) has just completed this beautiful inlaid table, mirror & sconces. Although it's smaller than Grandpa's, the same craftsmanship is evident.

Just above you see the detail of the 585 pieces that make up the inlay design of this table. The pieces come from 8 different hardwoods. It measlures 27" tall with an 18" X 18" square top. Each piece is 3/8" thick and the base pieces are 1/2" thick. There are over 1,000 pieces in the frame of the mirror.

Dave says he's working his way up to a table to rival Grandpa's 13,000+ pieces. So watch for more amazing designs from Dave.
