12/18/00 From Robert: I think your site is excellent -- good content, professional presentation, and you have included just the right amount of personal touches. BTW, I found your site when it came up as the #1 search result for "patio furniture" on the Northern Light Search Engine. RDG http://contract-furnishings.com/rg.html Reply from Sawdustone: Thanks so much Robert! ************************************************************************************************************ 12/14/00 From Kate: Looking for plans for a baby cradle that is not a trestle type--but one that sits on the floor and has a cover on it. Please EM me with any plans you may have. Reply from Sawdustone: We finally got enough things unpacked to find Dave's woodworking books and catalogs. He found two patterns for the type of cradle you want. Here's where he found them. In the Meissell Wood & Hobby catalog it's item #CP1891 and it's called the Longfellow Cradle. They have a website at http://www.meisselwoodhobby.com The other one can be found in the Eagle-America catalog under item #414-6041 and it's called simply The Cradle. You can get an instruction video with that one. You'll find them in our Woodworkers Directory (although I can't remember what category) but their website address is http://www.eagle-america.com. Hope this helps. *********************************************************************************************************** 12/13/00 From Michael: Sir, I am looking for plans to build an entertainment center which will surround my 42" projection TV. Please provide me with info on obtaining these plans if at all possible. Reply from Sawdustone: We weren't able to help Michael much. Does anyone else have any ideas or has anyone ever built an entertainment center this size? ************************************************************************************************************* 12/4/00 From Kevin and Cindy: Thanks for the link to your page. I have checked it out and it is wonderful. Reply from Sawdustone: We never tire of hearing comments like these. :>) ************************************************************************************************************* 12/4/00 From Beth & Barry: Thank you for putting a link on your site for us. Have clicked on to your site and am amazed at the different wood products and services there are all at ones finger tips. Kind regards, Beth & Barry Hill - http://www.halfdolls.com.au Reply from Sawdustone: Obviously another person with good taste! :>) ************************************************************************************************************* From Christine: Hi, my husband and I are trying to install 4 and 1/2 inch colonial crown mouldings in our living room. We are having soe trouble getting the correct cut. Could you let me know which cut we should be using? It would ease the tension here I assure you. Thanks. Reply from Sawdustone: Hi Christine, First let me say that if you have an exactly straight angle in any house, it is strictly by accident. To do this correctly, you need to use an angle finder. Once you have the angle degrees, divide the angle in half and use a compound mitre cut. For instance, if the angle shows 88 degrees rather than a balanced 90 degrees, you would have a cut of 44 degrees rather than 45 dgrees. A tip for making this kind of cut is to always make sure that the top of the crown moulding is facing down (with bottom on top) when you make the cut with the saw. I hope this has helped, if I can help any more, please let me know. ************************************************************************************************************* 12/1/00 From Chris & Karen: Thanks so much for placing me on the site! (Karen is the December Woodworker of the Month). We're thrilled. Everything looked great. My neuroses only detected one typo in the dream tools - sawudst. Also, if you're in there and don't mind - I just love the FisherPrice All About Tools book - it's the only tool book written for little ones that I've ever seen that actually gives them some information! It's a family favorite. Congratulations on your new home! I look forward to seeing your progress. Again, thanks for everything! Chris & Karen http://www.familytreetoys.com ************************************************************************************************************* 11/4/00 From James: Thanks, I enjoy your web site very much and so does my family. Reply from Sawdustone: Watch for James as our January Woodworker of the Month! *************************************************************************************************************
