This 10-in. glass lid fits the 13-in. frying pan, both by Look, maker of pressure-cast cookware. The lid has a stay-cool, steam-vented knob. The vast majority of aluminum cookware is stamped from sheets of aluminum. Look is one of the very few factories to pressure-cast aluminum cookware using state-of-the-art technology. Casting involves several important advantages over cookware that is stamped. Cast is 100 percent warp-free and offers superior weight distribution on the bottom of the pans where it matters most. Look cookware has bases that are machined flat. For efficient heat transfer from electric and ceramic/glass burners, the pan's base must be flat with maximum burner contact. The pan's inside wall meets the base at a gentle curve with no hard-to-reach corners, perfect for whisking or stirring. The pans are made in Iceland from pure recycled aluminum with multiple layers of nonstick on both the insides and outsides. The nonstick surface is reinforced with titanium. Oven-safe to 500 degrees F. Lids are made from high quality safety glass with stainless steel rims and stay-cool knobs with steam vents.
