Sawdust Studios, the dream of master craftsman and creator, Dave Eller, originated in 1979 in Chicago, Illinois.  The first design completed at Sawdust Studios was a butcher block coffee table made of pine.  Over the years, Dave, has fashioned many custom pieces, such as a backgammon board from oak & walnut; a cabinet for an antique radio; a solid oak bar with matching bookcases; a conference table for a bank boardroom; numerous chests; a pedestal table inlaid with pennies; a solid oak round occasional table; a living room occasional table set; a leaded glass cabinet; children's furniture; dollhouses & minitiatures; and many different designs of cabinets and boxes. Recently, Dave has spent considerable time working in walnut, cherry, and maple.  His preference is to work with oak or walnut.  Using a variety of stains and finishes, these two woods give a wide range of effects to the finished pieces. Sawdust Studios is currently located in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Dave designs and creates custom pieces upon request.  Each item is unique and one of a kind.
